I really like these names, what do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Lorenzo
Vincent
Donello
Carmine
Any suggestions for middle names?
I want to give my son a good Italian name (sicilian fiancee) What do you think of these?
im part sicilian.i think vincent, which would be vincenzo in italian, is the best of the bunch.you also want to consider how he will like his name when he grows, and i think vincent is the easiest.trust me, i have an unusual name, and it was hard at school
Reply:I really like Donello. I think that in comparison to some of the other names on your list it has a certain amount of uniqueness to it. Its ethnically and culturally sound in that it meets your requirements for an Italian name without being so outside the norm that most Americans couldn't grasp it. I think it sounds wonderful and I also don't think I have ever met a person with this name.
Carmine reminds me a lot of the girl's name Carmen and I think that its probably the only name on your list that I wouldn't use.
Lorenzo and Vincent would be good choices if you were to choose either of them. They aren't super common but you have heard of them being used besides "Rennie" and "Vinny" make some of the cutest nicknames.
Good luck and congratulations on your baby.
Reply:Vincent is an excellent male name. I love the idea of Vincent Anthony. It sounds very strong, masculine, and Italian! without being over the top.
we're of Italian decent too and my sons name is Anthony (last name Mandrioli) so I mean he has a pretty Italian name, but heck look at all the "Liam Callahan's and Brendan O'Sullivan's" extremely Irish, but nothing stops them!
Love the name Vincent, and Vin, Vince Vinny are cute nick names for when he's little! congrats and good luck to you and your family!
Reply:What do you think of Dominic? Very common in Italian names. I was fortunate enough to visit Sicily last year. I met a local boy named Luigi. If it weren't for that darned Nintendo character, I'd really like that name.
How about Dominic Vincenzo?
Nicolo is also very popular and suave. Raffaelo is cute too, and you could call him Raffy.
Reply:None of them tickle my fancy, but you like them and that is all that matters.
Here is the order I would put them in: Vincent, Carmine, Lorenzo, Donello...
Here are some middle names:
Enrico
Alessandro
Angelo
Antonio
Cirrillo
Emilio
Renato
Marcelo
Mariano
Mario
Nicolas
Guiseppe
Giorgio
Michele
Gustavo
Giovani
Giuliano
Francesco
I like Vincent Francesco, Carmine Alessandro, Lorenzo Nicolas, and Donello Guiseppe.
Alessandro is my favorite Italian name! :)
Reply:I love:
Lorenzo Adriano
Vincent Georgio
Donello David
Lorenzo and Vincent are my favorite. I also love Adriano, but it is probably better as a middle name as Lorenzo and Vincent are more masculine.
Not a fan of Carmine. For some reason it just always reminds me of the mob and vermin.
Reply:Some Italian names are just "too Sicilian", such as Calogero or Carmelo. But Carmine is equally diffused in all Southern Italy.
Other distinctive Italian first names could be Ignazio, Michele, Orlando, Ruggero, Donato, Antonello, Claudio, Armando and Corrado.
Reply:Vincent is absolutely adorable, and Donello is cute too.
but what about...
Lucca
Matteo
Rocco
Antonio
Marco
Orlando
or Gabriele [Gabe for short -- too cute!]?
I personally love Lucca and Matteo, and they aren't "too italian" haha
good lucka nd CONGRATS!

Reply:I love the names you picked out. There are a lot of good suggestions on here. Just please do not name him Giovanni. I have heard so many people name their sons that and I think it is too feminine for a boy.
Reply:I like Vincent the best... :D
Or how about Luigi? I really like that name. x] [You could call him Louie]
And I'd suggest something American for the middle name, like Alexander or something.

I also like Primo and Valentino.
Antonio is common, but classic and beautiful.

Vincent Lorenzo
Vincent Alfonso
Vincent Leonardo
Reply:If you are smart, you will name him after your fiance's father. Italian names are always handed down...proudly! Middle name should be Joseph. Trust me.
