I was there maybe eight years ago ... good food too ... can't remember the name, though.

What is the name of the Italian restaurant in South Philly where the waiters sing arias for the patrons?

The Victor cafe is really different. The waiters and waitresses sing opera to you. This is definitely a place to go with a group of friends not alone. Don't get too chatty though. The wait staff does tend to get grumpy if you are talking during their singing. The food is fair but it's worth the trip for the experience. Very enjoyable.

When discussing Italian cuisine, most would agree South Philly is where you find the best in the city. Among the finest is Franco %26amp; Luigi's. Their classic pasta dishes, seafood entrees, and pizza (BEST BET: Mario Lanza) are all outstanding. Yet it isn't just the delicious fare that has loyalists returning and telling friends and family. Add in that it's a BYOB, has a charming old-world decor, and a most festive atmosphere. On most evenings, the vocally gifted staff belt out operatic tunes what would make even the Three Tenors envious. It's about as good a time as you will have at a restaurant.

Reply:They do that at Macaroni Grill Also!
