How would I spell my name is Italian?

My name is Dariana( Dare-e-ahh-na) OR (Dairy-ahna). I think that's close to the sound of my name, I think it may also be sounded like (dairy-ana) but the ending -ana does not sound like 'Ann' like in 'Ann Hathaway'. It makes like a spanish person's name of 'ana' (ahna).





I know that that each letter in the italian alphabet has a different sound than english alphabet . So would I spell it the same way?

Reply:Da -ree -ana I would pronounce it like. it sounds like a nice name. Italian names are always very nice. I don't like the Dairy-ahna. Dare-e-ahh-na sounds fine. If I didn't know I would have pronounded it as I spelled it out at first. I like Italian and French and English names a lot.





I looked up how it would be pronounced Dare ee ah nah I am sure in Italy it would be pronounced the same

I am puzzled at your statement about the pronunciation of Anne/Ana. Where I come from (England) Anne is one word that DOES have the same A sound as the Spanish sound.
Reply:You'd spell it the same. The only difference would be that Italians pronounce their "r"s as a trill and not like the English "r".
Reply:It would stay stay the same, but the "r" in your name would be used differently though when your name is being pronounced.
