Whats the name of this icecream (italian ice?) that i sampled at myrtle beach?

I was at broadway at the beach and someone just handed me a sample cup of something that was like italian ice but smoother. It was light orange and tasted like mango. Does anybody know the name of this place?

I didnt see the name. I was walking pretty fast.

Gelato is the Italian smooth cream you had
Reply:gelato - you can find it at Italian specialty and at some larger grocery stores
Reply:I'm Italian and I know what you mean. Unfortunately I'm not from NYC and then I don't know the place where to buy it at Brooklin but I do know very well what you've to ask to get the same thing you ate at the beach.

In Italy the softer Ice cream is called "SEMIFREDDO" and we taste it either with fruit flavours (mango, strawberry, peach, apricot, ect.) or classics like chocolate, cream, hazelnut, ect.
Reply:italian ice cream is called gelato. sorry, but i don't know where you mean
Reply:It was probably gelato, an italian ice cream. Super yummy!
Reply:I think it was just a mango gelato.
Reply:Being Italian myself, I can tell you you had Granita. Gelato is of the creamy variety, whilst granita is the sherbert/sorbet equivalent.
Reply:Yummy Gelato! I'll bet you could find a place in your town that sells gelato!
Reply:I love Broadway at the Beach....it was probably Gelato -- an Italian ice cream. YUM. Here is some info
