What's the name of a brown salad dressing I ate in an Italian Restaurant?

I went out and had this salad with rocket and Parmesan cheese and it had this YUMMY brown colored salad dressing drizzled on it. It was so simple but it was the yummiest thing ever and I'm trying to recreate it at home, only I can't find the recipe anywhere on the net! Could anyone tell me what it could have been called?

What's the name of a brown salad dressing I ate in an Italian Restaurant?
I'm not sure what it's called but I have made something similar.

Whisk together the following ingredients:

2 tablespoons Italian-style salad dressing -I use Krafts

1 tablespoon balsamic vinaigrette

3 tablespoons prepared Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon celery seed, crushed

1 tablespoon light brown sugar

I have not used basil in it but you could add a small amount to the above - not much because of it's strong flavor.
Reply:it'd help if you described the taste.

the only brown salad sauce i know is balsamic vinegar.

don't know if i spelled it right.
Reply:It was probably just balsamic vinegar - here's the ones I like to use as dressings: http://www.all-things-italian.com/produc...

The fig one is great just by itself!
